Restoration Update: 9/8/17, 8 a.m.

At 8:00 am approximately 1,500 Entergy Texas customers were without power due to the Viway substation, expected to be restored later today, Friday September 8.  Power has been restored to all other customers impacted by Hurricane Harvey except for customers served by flood damaged equipment and areas that are still flooded.

For areas that have flooded, Entergy is inspecting meters then repairing and replacing them as is necessary.  Customers may need to make repairs to property and obtain inspections before Entergy is able to safely restore power to these locations.  For more information please visit entergy.com/harvey.

East Region

Orange County

Orange, Vidor, Bridge City

Power has been restored to all customers in Orange County impacted by Hurricane Harvey except for customers served by flood damaged equipment, areas that are still flooded and areas impacted by the Viway substation outages.  As meter assessment workers determine damage, customers are provided information on the process to restore power to their residence and a reminder to check with their city and county for any required permits. 

The Rose City area from Boomtown to the Neches River remains flooded, including FM 1131 and Wexford Park.  Workers in high water vehicles discovered additional equipment damage and broken poles to be replaced when the flood waters recede.

Substation Updates

 A mobile substation is being utilized to restore power to the Viway substation, causing outages for 1,480 customers.  Customers in Rose City, areas south of IH-10 between Hwy 1132 and the Neches River, and the Maple Crest addition North of IH-10 can expect to be restored by today, September 8th, provided the property is able to take power.

Beaumont, Silsbee, Woodville, Lumberton, Port Arthur, Dayton, Liberty, Winnie, Anahuac
